Kellan hosted Social Sundays at the Borgata Sunbar on Aug. 9 at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City where he filled OK! in on what he has coming up in his life!

From filming Breaking Dawn, improving his action career and thinking about weddings, Kellan has a lot to look forward to and so do you!

It’s been a busy year for you, how are you planning on spending your time off?
Vacation. I actually just got back from doing three movies in a row, all back-to-back. It was really cool to be a part of those projects but it’s nice to have down time, me time, dog time and family time. And I want to go to Turkey really bad. Istanbul, Iceland and Ireland. And somewhere to get away and get a tan before I have to be all pale for a while. But just relaxing because Breaking Dawn is going to be a big movie to shoot.

Undoubtedly you’ll be doing lots of eating! How are you going to maintain your Calvin Klein physique?
I really believe that eating has helped my physique. I really believe being bigger… when I don’t eat or I try to be food conscious I lose weight and I don’t like losing weight. So I’m going for the steaks, I’m going for the big hearty meals, I love Indian food. Hopefully I’ll be getting some good Lebanese food. Anything and everything, I just love to eat it!

You start filming in the fall?
Yes, I believe we might start rehearsals in September – fight training – and then I think start production in November until March. In Vancouver and Baton Rouge.

What do you like about filming in Vancouver?
Everything! I love to snowboard, so it’s going to be good to be there in the winter. I’m going to be in Vancouver in the wintertime when I can actually use Whistler big time. I’m a big snowboarding junkie. The restaurants there are amazing. The seafood’s great, the steaks are great. We’ve been shooting up there for the last two movies, so we kind of have our hole in the wall bars where we can semi-escape.

Where do you like to go?
I can’t say! Then it won’t be our hole in the wall where we can disappear to. But I love getting lost there. And we just have a really great group of actors who are real people who can just have fun.

Tell me what it’s like on set with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
Really fun, we have so many inside jokes now and again we don’t get sick of each other because these movies are only three to four months of shooting and then we’re off doing our own thing. And then we get excited to come back and it’s like a great family reunion. I can’t wait. I really can’t wait. I don’t think many actors who are part of trilogies or sagas can say that and really can’t wait to get back to the cast again. Share stories and make more memories.

Do you keep in touch with your co-stars outside of filming?
Yes, that’s the really cool thing about acting. You build these friendships and anytime you can spend time with a person for months, and hours on set, you really learn a lot about someone. And you’re going to be there for a while you might as well make some best friends out of it. It’s a dream to be in an industry that’s very fickle and to find friendships.

Are you excited for the saga to continue or are you looking forward to new projects?
I love it. It’s been a blessing to me. I haven’t really had time to look at what it was. Five years from now I’ll really appreciate it. But it’s opened up so many doors. It’s allowed me to mold my career in the action route, which I would love to do. I love doing stunts, I love doing action movies.

How was reuniting with Ashley Greene in Warrior?
We shot that a while ago, about a year and a half ago. It was good, it was really good. We’ll see what happens. I’m not really sure what’s going on or why there’s a lag with that. You do independent movies and for some reason they don’t want to add a little more money to make the movie better but it’d be a great time to have that release, especially with Eclipse and especially with Ashley’s career going through the roof.

And you both made the covers of magazines this month for hottest bodies!
It was really cool! It was really cool to do that with a best friend and in Palm Springs and Joshua Tree it looked great, we’re both really proud of it. It was fun, it was really fun.

You did some music videos with Hilary Duff back in the day.
I did, I did!

Do you keep in touch with her?
No.

She’s getting married soon!
I know I know, I’m heartbroken! And what’s funny is I didn’t even want to go on the audition for that. I have an amazing agent and he was like, “Just go on it,” and I was like “No, I’m not a good looking guy who’s going to book a Hilary Duff fragrance commercial.”

But it’s one of those things where it’s like, I’m not that guy, I’m not like that stud in all those music videos who has the nice Rob Pattinson hair – but I have dimples. But my agent convinced me to go and I got a call back and they ended up choosing me. And I really had a great great time doing it. Great experience.

Any well wishes you’d like to say to her?
You know what, she was such a sweetheart to work with. I don’t know her fiancé, he’s a hockey player. [I'm from] North Dakota, so I’m big on hockey. It’s one of those things, you meet somebody who’s really sweet in the industry and my sister was a huge fan of hers growing up. And I don’t know, it’s really cool to see it work. Marriage is very dear to my heart and I hope I get married and it lasts and all those things so by all means I wish you the best Hilary.

Do you think AnnaLynn McCord is the one for you?
Is she for you?

I definitely think you two could make marriage work!

You’ve said you thought this current film, Eclipse, would be easy at first. Was that partially because you knew Breaking Dawn, your two-part adaptation of the final films of the Twilight series, was coming?

That was actually from the outset, separate from Breaking Dawn. Looking at the first three books, it seemed like it would be easier just because it had all this action. Of course, that was wrong. Thinking anything in writing is going to be easy is always…

A mistake?

Always a mistake. It is never easy. Writing is hard. If it wasn’t, everyone would do it, right?

True. So Eclipse has a lot of action, but it’s mainly in the third act.

Exactly.

Tell me what you had to do with those first two acts to lead up to that big conflict.

It was about taking that threat and building on it to the third act conflict. The entire book is from Bella’s point of view, so anything that happens in the book, she hears about after the fact, [when] she’s not actually present. With the script, I don’t have that restriction. I could actually go away from her point of view occasionally, so I was able to build a few of those scenes that she hears about after the fact and invent a few to help build to this conflict, which, hopefully, helps to keep that sense of threat impending and growing throughout [the first two acts].

This Twilight phenomenon has happened really fast, but it’s also been, what, three and half years now that you’ve been ensconced in this?

Yeah. It was about two months before the strike.

In all that time, has your process for breaking down these books remained the same?

I’ve used the same system that I’ve had from the beginning. The only thing that’s changed a little is that I’ve involved Stephenie Meyer a little more in my process. I’ve used her as a resource more and more as I’ve gone along… and our relationship has developed over that time.

You must start to feel some sense of ownership as an author, too…

I’ve certainly become very invested, but I give all props to Stephenie. I would not have the career I now have without her, so I take nothing from that, certainly.

Of course. And going back for a minute, can you encapsulate what your process has been for these breaking these books?

The first thing I do is read the book and sit back and let what comes to mind pop. What I’m looking for there is structure; what emerges as the mid-point, what the arcs of the characters are and how best to structure them. I let the scenes wash over me to decide what the big moments are.

Then I start building from there. The way I do that is to put into a very abbreviated few pages what the key scenes in the book are, chapter by chapter. Once I have my structure of what the basic acts are, I start filling in the muscle and sinew.

Did Eclipse take comparatively less or more time than the others?

Well, to some extent, it’s [been a matter of] how much time I have. I did have a little bit more time with Eclipse. With Twilight, we were fighting the strike deadline, so I slammed that one out. With New Moon I had more time, but I was juggling Dexter at the same time.

How fast did you do Twilight?

I think I outlined for about a month, while simultaneously working on Dexter, and then it was five weeks to write the script.

Now, Summit has officially announced that ”Breaking Dawn, Part 2″ will open November 2012, and with that, another assumption seems to be taking hold among fans and on the Web: After ”Eclipse” failed to wildly out-gross ”New Moon” at the box office, Summit got spooked about a summer release date and fled to more familiar autumn territory. But based on our conversations with Summit and box-office analysts, that’s simply not the case.

First off, it’s important to note that despite all this talk about a weaker-than-expected performance for ”Eclipse,” its $289 million haul will eventually surpass the $297 million that ”New Moon” pulled in last fall, according to Box Office Mojo.

When you consider that sequels like ”Shrek Forever After” and ”Sex and the City 2″ underperformed in the crowded summer movie season, Summit has got to be extremely pleased with the box-office business of ”Eclipse.” So if it’s not a fear of summer that persuaded Summit to deliver both ”Breaking Dawn” films in the fall, then what was it? A careful examination of the 2012 summer calendar.

”The lesson is that it’s all about positioning a film at a time when it will face as little direct competition as possible,” explained Phil Contrino, editor of BoxOffice.com. ”Summit was wise to stay away from Summer 2012, because it’s shaping up to be a record-breaking season.”

”The Avengers,” ”Madagascar 3″ and ”Men in Black 3″ are all set to drop that May, followed by ”Star Trek 2″ in June, and then new installments of ”Spider-Man” (which already occupies the Fourth of July slot held this year by ”Eclipse”), ”Ice Age” and ”Batman.”

”Why compete with an amazing slate like that if you don’t have to?” Contrino added. ”I’m sure ”Breaking Dawn, Part 2″ would still open very well during a summer that crowded, but its audience would be devoured very quickly.”

The point, then, is not that summer is a poor time in which to release a ”Twilight” film but that fall simply presents less competition, which is not to say that there will be no box-office battle in autumn. ”Breaking Dawn, Part I” is set to open against ”Happy Feet 2″ on November 18, 2011, while the second in the two-part finale will compete with ”Monsters Inc. 2″ on November 16, 2012. But when you consider the more jam-packed summer season and the fact that an entire year will have passed between ”Twilight” flicks — as opposed to the eight months between ”New Moon” and ”Eclipse” — the fall 2012 release date makes perfect sense.

”There’s a mood and spirit to these movies that make them play really well in the fall. They’re darker, they’re more emotional than standard summer fare, and thematically, fall is a great fit,” said John Singh, a box-office analyst for Flixster. ”It also allows the audience to build even greater anticipation — rather than seeing the follow-up just a few months later. This gives them a full year to anticipate the final film in a series that has generated hugely positive response from its fanbase."

In the fourth and final film adaptation of the vampire saga, the pair share heated sex scenes and Pattinson, 24, revealed his excitement about the intimate scenes.
